Why isn’t my Facebook Business Page connecting to Buffer?

So I understand that you’re having an issue connecting a new channel, in this case your Facebook Business Page, to your Buffer account. Buffer is a great tool to use for social media scheduling, especially if you plan to post to LinkedIn regularly, but it can be frustrating when you can’t get your pages to connect.

I’ve got two things, two options that might work here to help you connect your Facebook Business Page to your buffer account.

The problem: there’s nothing popping up when you click through the options to add your Facebook Business Page to Buffer; nothing happens after you choose to connect a Facebook Page.

Solution One: As you can see in the video above, I went to channels, connect new channel. I clicked on Facebook and I tried to connect to my Facebook page. What happens is a pop-up comes up so if you’re not getting a pop-up immediately after choosing your options there’s a chance you have a pop-up blocker on. So there’s potential that your browser, your Google Chrome browser is what’s stopping you from getting this pop-up to come up. So generally speaking, if you have a pop-up blocker on, you’re going to see like a message on the far right side of the URL bar inside of your browser.. or you might even get a notification, but double check the far right side of your URL bar and see if there’s anything there that looks like it might be disabling pop-ups.

Solution Two: Step two is you can use your Instagram account to post to your Facebook business page. So if you want to go ahead and connect your Instagram account you can use this workaround. In the setup they may ask you if you want to automatically post to your business page. If that comes up in the Buffer setup, say yes. If not you can set it up inside of your Instagram account so that every post that goes to your Instagram feed automatically is pushed to your Facebook page. If you set that up you’ll have like a backend connection, if for some reason your Facebook page is not connecting.

Note: If you try to connect your Instagram account and still don’t get a pop-up, definitely check that you don’t have a pop-up blocker that is keeping you from getting that authentication page, because if more than one of them isn’t working, I would say it’s almost certainly an issue on your computer side and not with the website.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Leave me a comment to let me know if this was helpful 😍
